The Faculty for the Future Fellowship, run by the Schlumberger Foundation, awards renewable grants of up to USD 50,000/year (PhD) or USD 40,000/year (postdoc) to women from low- and middle-income countries — including many in Africa — pursuing STEM research at recognised universities abroad. In return, fellows commit to returning home to drive socio-economic development through academia, STEM entrepreneurship or policy making, and to mentoring girls and women into STEM.
